Methyl anthranilate is known for synthesizing Schiff’s bases, especially by reacting with aldehydes. Olfactory interesting, but because of the possibility of coloring the perfume it is advisable to use this raw material in small quantities.
Example: Methyl anthranilate + hydroxycitronellal = Aurantiol; we also have Aurantiol Schiff’s base in our range.
Methyl anthranilate is stable in fabric softeners, shampoos and hair conditioners.
