Watermelon ketone is a solid in its pure form. It may occur as crystals, flakes or lumps/chunks depending on preparation and storage conditions.

To dilute Watermelon Ketone, follow these steps:

  1. Choose a solvent : Choose a suitable solvent such as ethanol, dipropylene glycol or ethyl diglycol depending on your intended use (e.g. perfumes or cosmetics).
  2. Weighing : Weigh the clumps accurately to ensure that the dilution ratios are correct.
  3. Dissolving : Add the lumps or flakes to the solvent and stir gently. A gentle bain-marie heating (but not boiling) can speed up the dissolution process.
  4. Mix thoroughly : Ensure the solution is homogeneous by stirring or shaking until all lumps are dissolved. A magnetic stirrer is useful.
