Enrich your perfume with a rich and refined shade. Color adds a touch of opulent elegance and creates the right atmosphere.

Color is involved in almost every part of a perfume, from the packaging and bottle to the liquid itself.

It’s the first thing that catches our attention, even before we smell the fragrance.

The color of a perfume communicates the nature and foundation of the scent.

Directions for use:

  • Add 1 to 10 drops of perfume colorant to every 500 grams of base liquid.
  • Add the perfume colorant drop by drop.
  • The more drops, the darker the color.

Note: Our perfume colorants are extremely concentrated.

The image gives an indication of the color variations that can be prepared and is for illustrative purposes only.

💧 INCI Breakdown

Ingredient Function Notes
Aqua Solvent/Base Simply purified water—used as the main carrier in most formulations.
C.I. 42051 Colorant (Patent Blue V) A synthetic blue dye also known as E131. Gives a rich blue hue.
E202 Preservative This is Potassium Sorbate, used to inhibit mold and yeast growth.

🧼 Compatibility in Soap

Ingredient Usability in Soap Notes
C.I. 42051 ✅ Yes (Bar & Liquid Soap) Water-soluble dye with good acid & alkaline fastness. Ideal for vibrant blue shades.
E202 ✅ Yes (Preservative) Effective against mold & yeast. Common in liquid soaps and personal care products.

⚠️ Considerations

  • Cold Process Soap: Patent Blue V may fade or shift color due to high pH. It performs better in melt-and-pour or liquid soap bases.
  • Preservative Use: Potassium Sorbate is more effective in water-based products. In bar soap (which has low water content), it’s less critical unless you're adding botanicals or fresh ingredients.
  • Regulatory Limits: In cosmetics, E202 is typically used at concentrations up to 0.6%
