Combination Tips for p-Tolyl Pivalate

1. Floral notes

  • 🌸 Jasmine, orange blossom, tuberose: soften the animalic character and add sensuality.
  • 🌼 Narcissus or mimosa: enhance the narcotic and phenolic side.

2. Balsamic and sweet notes

  • Benzoin, tolu, vanilla: bring warmth and sweetness, rounding out the civet-like profile.
  • Coumarin or heliotropin: add a powdery, gourmand touch.

3. Woody and leathery notes

  • Sandalwood, cedarwood: provide an earthy base and deepen the composition.
  • Iso E Super, leather accords: emphasize the animalic aspect with a modern twist.

4. Musks and amber
