NeoFolione: a sparkling green violet elevator that opens each chord with clarity, fresh leaf and transparent elegance.

Fragrance profile:

  • Character: Green, violet-like, fresh-diffuse with a bright “leaf” accent.
  • Top facets: Green leaves, slightly fruity (melon/pear), a touch waxy and watery.
  • Heart facets: Violet (ionone-related), muguet elevator, subtle herbal and soapy-clean.
  • Background: Softly waxy and slightly oily-esterified; no heavy musk or balsamic aftertaste.
  • Texture and diffusion: sparklingand penetrating, opens quickly and ventilates a chord; medium persistence.
  • Emotional impression: Fresh garden after rain, crisp leaves, transparent flowers.

Behavior in compositions

  • Role: Booster/modifier for violet, muguet and green accords; gives elevator and “cleanness.”
  • Compatible partners: Ionones, methyl ionone, cis-3-hexenol/hexenyl acetate, muguet materials (adhelone, bourgeonal), light aldehydes (C6-C9), and tea/ozonic nuances.
  • Contrast materials: Benzoates, ylang, rose and musk to round out and anchor the green sharpness.
  • Overdose effect: Quickly becomes detergent-like, harsh and soapy; can overshadow florals and make the blend appear “thin.”

Application Tips

  • Moment of use: For fresh florals, green tea, violet , laundry-clean and aquatic themes.
  • Purpose: To add brightness and elevator without weight; ideal for creating an “airy” top and heart.

Why we offer 10% in DPG

    • Dosing: easier and more accurate (pipette-friendly, less “overdosing”).
    • Compatibility: DPG mixes well with alcohol and most fragrance concentrates.
    • Safety/handling: less intense odor in pure form, more pleasant to handle.
  • Method: If you normally want to use 0.1% pure NeoFolione in your concentré, add 1% of the 10% solution (equivalent to 0.1% pure).

Formulation tips

  • Lead-in dosage: Traces-0.1% to elevator violin/ionone chords without “saltiness.”
  • Balancing: Combine with ionones, muguet materials or light aldehydes to direct the green tone.
  • Avoid overdosing: Above ~1% (pure) it quickly becomes dominant, harsh and “detergent-like.”
  • Batch variation: Check each batch for intensity with a small blotter test panel; titration prevents surprises.
Application Usual dosage in concentrate Remark
Fine Perfume (EDT/EDP) 0.05-0.5% Impact molecule: start low (0.05-0.1%) and titrate on.
Fragrance for cosmetics (leave-on). 0.02-0.2% Match to IFRA category and skin sensitivity.
Hair care (rinse-off) 0.05-0.3% Good diffusion without becoming too "soapy."
Home fragrance (room spray) 0.1-0.8% Note sharp green tone at high dosage.
Candles 0.1-0.6% (in odor comp.) Test for hot throw; can quickly dominate "green".
Soaps/detergents 0.1-0.7% Consider alkaline environment; try low first.

Practical Tip:

Start with microdoses (traces to 0.05%) and increase incrementally.
The material speaks quickly through a chord, especially with florals and green themes.

NeoFolione is a potent, green-violet ester often used as a booster for violet and fresh floral accords.
It is green, diffusive and stable in many applications.

Ionones provide the powdery violet base that NeoFolione can elevator on top of;

Cis-3-hexenol and esters such as hexenyl acetate add immediate foliar greenness that enhances the "garden-after-rain" impression.

Practical mixing tips

  • Start low and titrate. Start with traces-0.05% in perfumes; increase incrementally until desired effect. Important: NeoFolione speaks quickly through a chord; too much makes it "soapy/detergent" (cleanser) in tone.
  • Building layer upon layer. First, lay a base of ionone or a soft violet base (0.05-0.5%), then add NeoFolione in microdoses to create elevator and diffusion.
  • Use contrast. Add a soft benzoate or a light musk to soften and add depth to the sharp green. Aldehydes (light C7-C9) can accentuate freshness without "cutting."
  • Short advice: work with microdoses, build layers (ionone → NeoFolione → softeners) and use a 10% premix for safe, reproducible dosing.
  • Solvent and premix. A 10% solution in DPG is common for accurate dosing; 1% of that solution = 0.1% pure material. This makes pipetting and small batches reliable.
