Fragrance : Coconuty scent, a soft, creamy and slightly sweet scent profile, perfectly suited for creating fruity and creamy notes. You can also detect subtle hints of peach, apricot and tropical fruits in the scent.

In perfumes, gamma-octalactone is often used in peach and coconut compositions for their milky note, and in heavy floral accords such as tuberose and jasmine. It is an interesting modifier or substitute for coumarin, especially in Fougères and other spicy compositions and of course in tropical fragrances.
