Natural ingredients often used to create metallic scents include essential oils such as bergamot , lemon, and neroli , as well as absolutes and resins such as benzoin , myrrh , and frankincense . Synthetic ingredients such as aldehydes , musks and non-animal musks are also used to impart a metallic scent and improve the overall longevity and diffusion of the fragrance.
A perfume base is a foundation on which to build when creating a perfume. They are fragrances that contain a mix of ingredients that last a long time and give depth and fullness. Natural fragrances such as essential oils, absolutes and isolates as well as fragrance molecules and fixatives are used.
