CardaNoir (Inspired by The Most Wanted)

This is pure, concentrated perfume oil and still needs to be diluted.
This can be done with perfumer’s alcohol, or alcohol-free with a carrier oil such as jojoba or fractionated coconut oil .

 

Example:
To make 50 ml of eau de toilette, use 2.5 to 5 ml of the fragrance concentrate and add 45 to 47.5 ml of perfumer’s alcohol or jojoba oil.

💡 Explanation : The higher the percentage of fragrance concentrate, the more intense and longer the scent lasts.
Perfume contains the most concentration and lasts the longest on the skin.
Aftershave and Eau Fraîche are the lightest and evaporate faster.

If you want to enhance or personalize this scent, you can use aroma chemicals to enhance or refine certain facets. 

Expansion options for CardaNoir

Top notes: Spice & Freshness enhance

• Cardamom essential oil or pure “Cardamom Oleoresin” – extra peppery, green kick
• Aldehyde C-8 (octanal) – gives a fresh, citrusy twist to the opening
• Linalool – softens and balances the sharp spice with a subtle floral note

 

Heart notes: Gourmand toffee & Floral bridge

• Ethyl Maltol – Enhances caramel and toffee notes for a richer mid-range
• Vanillin – deepens the sweet gourmand character, complements toffee perfectly
• Hedione (methyl jasmonate) – adds an airy, jasmine-like transparency
• Dimethyl benzyl carbinyl acetate – gives a soft, powdery florality with gourmand undertones

 

Base notes: Warmth & Wood

• Ambroxan – accentuates the amber-woodiness and prolongs its life on the skin
• Iso E Super – provides a velvety, diffusion-boosting woody accord
• Cashmeran – delivers a musky, slightly spicy woody effect
• Galaxolide – clean musk for a modern, soft finish

 

Sample formula (50 ml Eau de Toilette, 8% concentrate)

Suppose you use 4 ml of CardaNoir fragrance concentrate (8%) and want to subtly expand:

• 4.0 ml CardaNoir dupe (original concentrate)
• 0.3 ml Cardamom essential oil
• 0.2 ml Ethyl Maltol
• 0.2 ml Ambroxan
• 0.1 ml Iso E Super
• Supplemented with 45.2 ml perfumer’s alcohol (or carrier oil)

Let it mature for at least 1–2 weeks for optimal integration and wear it with confidence!
