Aqua Virtus (inspired by Versace Pour Homme)

This is pure, concentrated perfume oil and still needs to be diluted.
This can be done with perfumer’s alcohol , or alcohol-free with a carrier oil such as jojoba or fractionated coconut oil .

Example:
To make 50 ml of eau de toilette, use 2.5 to 5 ml of the fragrance concentrate and add 45 to 47.5 ml of perfumer’s alcohol or jojoba oil.

💡 Explanation : The higher the percentage of fragrance concentrate, the more intense and longer the scent lasts.
Perfume contains the most concentration and lasts the longest on the skin.
Aftershave and Eau Fraîche are the lightest and evaporate faster.

 

Aqua Virtus (inspired by Versace Pour Homme) has a fresh, aromatic and Mediterranean fragrance structure with citrus, neroli, hyacinth, cedar wood and amber.
As a hobby perfumer, you can enhance or personalize this fragrance with aroma chemicals to enhance or refine certain facets.

Expansion options for Aqua Virtus

🍋 Enhance top notes (citrus & freshness)

• Dihydromyrcenol – powerful freshness, typical for men’s perfumes
• Citral – enhances lemony notes
• Linalool – fresh floral, slightly citrusy

🌿 Enrich heart notes (aromatic & green)

• Hedione – transparent jasmine-like freshness
• Stemone – enhances green, watery hyacinth notes
• Geraniol – floral and slightly spicy

🌲 Strengthen base (wood & amber)

• Iso E Super – velvety soft wood, enhances diffusion
• Ambroxan – modern amber, powerful and long lasting
• Cashmeran – musky, woody and slightly spicy

 

Sample recipe extension (for 50 ml Eau de Toilette)

If you use 3 ml Aqua Virtus dupe (6%), you can add:

• 0.5 ml Dihydromyrcenol
• 0.3 ml Hedione
• 0.2 ml Ambroxan
• 0.2 ml Iso E Super

Add 45.8 ml of perfumer’s alcohol. Allow to mature for at least 1–2 weeks for optimal fragrance development.
