Ravintsara is extracted from the leaves of the camphor tree that grows in Madagascar and is known for its purifying, uplifting and protective properties.
Perfumery
- Fragrance profile : fresh, spicy, slightly camphorous with a green undertone
- Role in composition : top note with aromatic freshness, similar to eucalyptus but milder and softer
- Combinations :
- Florals: lavender, neroli, ho leaf, rose
- Woody: cedar, sandalwood, vetiver
- Fresh/spicy: rosemary, coriander, mint, lemon
- Mixes particularly well with damask cones.
