Aldehyde C-20, also known as ethyl para-methyl-beta-phenylglycidate or raspberry aldehyde, is a synthetic fragrance with a fruity odor reminiscent of yellow fruits, berries, white flowers, and violets. It is often used in fruity, ambery and cypre perfumes. Aldehyde C-20 can also be used to nuance rose, iris root and violet notes. The chemical formula is C12H14O3 and it has a molecular weight of 206.24 g/mo.
