Use in finished cosmetic products is not permitted.Although IFRA does not impose separate restrictions on Musk Xylene, EU law, which is binding on all market participants, prevails.
Musk Xylene reacts with amines, especially Indole, which can produce a red color even at normal dosages in a perfume composition.
