sandalwood, amyris, vanilla, galbanum, tonka beans, peach, darkmoss, myrrh, patchouli, violet, musk In addition to its use as a fragrance in perfumes, Tagetes is used in aromatherapy. Properties: Anthelmintic, antispasmodic, bactericidal, carminative,
diaphoretic, emmenagogue, fungicide, antiparasitic, antiseptic, antibiotic, insecticide and sedative. Uses: Skin care: Bunions, calluses, corns, fungal infections.
Used in some pharmaceutical products.
Used in limited quantities in herbaceous and floral perfumes.
As a flavoring in tobacco and in most major food categories.
Helps with parasitic and fungal problems and loosens mucus.
Also used on cuts and sores. Warnings: Do not use during pregnancy, infants and children.
May be phototoxic> the safe limit is: 0.05% in sun products.
Tagetes is an extremely powerful oil and must be well diluted with a fatty base oil.
Use sparingly. Fact: The aroma and therapeutic properties of Marigold improve with age.
At its best, the essential oil should only be used after 6 months of maturation.
