The oil is obtained by steam distillation of the wood of Bulnesia sarmientoi with a yield of about 3 – 6 %. It has a woody, rose-like odor reminiscent of tea rose. Sometimes the oil shows a smoky note. ** This oil solidifies under certain temperature and then forms a solid paste.
Place the bottle in a warm water bath for a while and it will become liquid again.
To keep it liquid and easier to handle, you can make a 10 or 20% solution with DPG.
