Naturally occurring in the essential oils of: Limonene Naturally occurring cyclic monoterpene, the main ingredient in the essential oils of citrus peels and has an antifungal effect. Isolated from: Citrus fruits, mainly lemon, bergamot, lime, grapefruit, mandarin and oranges, pine needles, elemi, palo santo and cannabis sativa. Stability: Can form Carvone-L over time in alcoholic perfumes. All terpenes tend to polymerize by oxidation. Limonene is very unstable in alkaline bases such as soap, in which the odor is not detectable.
