Cedrol is listed on the IFRA Transparency List as a natural fragrance ingredient. According to the latest IFRA Standards (Amendment 51), no specific restrictions apply to Cedrol Crystals.
It is considered safe for use in perfumery and cosmetics when used appropriately.However, practical dosages are typically:
- Fine fragrances: up to 5% as a fixative
- Soaps and household products: 0.5–2%
- Air fresheners and industrial fragrance bases: up to 10% depending on formulation
