Benzoin tincture is a solution of benzoin resin in alcohol.
It is often used for its antiseptic and protective properties .
Benzoin tincture has a warm, sweet, balsamic scent with vanilla-like undertones .
It is often used in perfumery as a fixative , as it helps the scent last longer

RECIPE : Benzoin-Infused Moisturizing Balm
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp shea butter (deep hydration)
- 1 tbsp MCT oil (nourishing and antibacterial)
- 1 tbsp sweet almond oil (light and moisturizing)
- ½ tsp benzoin tincture (protective and soothing for the skin)
- 5 drops lavender essential oil (calming and aromatic)
- 5 drops rose essential oil (rejuvenating for the skin)
Preparation:
- Melt the shea butter in a warm water bath (bain-marie).
- Remove from heat and stir in sweet almond oil and MCT oil .
- Add the benzoin tincture and mix well.
- Stir in the lavender and rose essential oils .
- Pour into a small jar and let cool until firm.
- Apply a small amount to dry or irritated skin for a soothing effect.
