Agrumen aldehyde, also known as Citravert, is a fragrance with a characteristic fresh, lively, cologne-like citrus odor. It has spicy, musky and soapy undertones and adds a sparkling and energetic note to perfumes, giving them a fresh and uplifting opening.
It is often used in top notes to enhance the first impression of a perfume and provide long-lasting freshness.
This aldehyde is often used as a base in spicy and woody perfumes and pairs well with scents such as aloe vera , birch , citrus , green scents , spicy scents (such as rosemary , thyme , parsley , hops , basil , oregano , dill ), pine scents , wood scents , African marigold and geranium .
